The Mainstream News Media Sucks

The mainstream news media does not reflect reality or the opinions of the general population.  I'll say it again...the mainstream news media does not reflect reality or the opinion of the general population.

Remember the 2016 Presidential Elections.  The Mainstream News media made a joking matter out of Donald Trumps decision to run for President.  No way (According to them) did he have a chance in hell of winning the Presidency.  Remember when Ann Coulter went on TV early on in the game and was asked who would be the next President of the United States and she said Donald Trump?  She was almost laughed out of the room.

Donald Trump took out 17 opponents in 2016 to secure the Republican nomination.  He beat 17 career politicians.  A task the mainstream news media said was going to be impossible.  When it came down between him and Hillary, they said he didn't stand a chance in beating her.  On election night she was favored (According to their b.s. polls) 98% to win the Presidency.  Well we all know how that turned out.  The mainstream news media does not reflect reality or the opinions off the general population.

Before, during and after Trump won the election, it was too good to be true.  It couldn't be possible.  So they concocted this Russian Conspiracy that said he allegedly colluded with the Russians to influence the outcome of the 2016 elections.  Well, it's been almost a year since the start of the investigation and not a single shred of evidence exists linking him to a Russian conspiracy.  Oh, and they're still trying.  It wouldn't surprise me if they find something to use against him.  Sometimes if people look hard enough they'll find something, even if it doesn't exist!

The recent fiasco is this NFL National Anthem bullshit.  First and foremost, this controversy began long before Trump took office.  Trump certainly didn't help things by invoking his 2 cents in (Even though I would bet you a lot of money the majority of Americans somewhat agree with him).  Regardless of how Americans feel about the National Anthem, attendance at NFL games are low, ESPN Viewership is low and boycotts against the NFL are being organized.  People are pissed.  People do not want to go to a football game, concert or any other entertainment venue and see this shit.  That's what is REALLY going on here.  Yes, people have strong opinions about the subject matter but what I'm noticing is that regardless of whether or not people support the kneeling or standing players (Which ever side) they are very upset that the sport of football has been politicized.
The mainstream news media is blaming Donald Trump for the controversy (Totally ignoring that this all began before he even took office) and are turning this into a free speech issue (Which technically it really isn't a free speech issue..the NFL is a private employer).

The mainstream news media does not reflect reality or the opinions of the general population.

Does racism exist? Absolutely.  But guess what. It's always going to.  I'm not using that fact as an excuse to justify it but what I am saying is that generally, most Americans are not racist.  Most Americans are too busy going on with their lives, trying to keep their head above water as opposed to judging people by the color of their skin.  In fact, as we saw in Texas with Hurricane Harvey (And in most crisis)  when it comes down to the human condition (Saving lives, helping each other in dire situations) nobody gives a shit about or considers race.  But the mainstream media puts out the narrative that if you are a white, conservative Donald Trump supporter you are automatically a racist.

The mainstream news media does not reflect reality or the opinions of the general population.

Do yourself a favor and ignore them.  Go about living your life.  Take care of your family.  Work hard, play hard, zone out.

Star Trek Discovery: My Review

I have to admit that I only became somewhat of a 'Trekkie' only a few years back.  Out of sheer boredom one day, for the hell of it, I decided to watch each and every episode of the original series.  I have to admit, I was blown away.  The original series to me wasn't good because of the acting or the cheap special effects or because of the great chemistry the characters had on set.  It was because of the writing.  In my opinion, some of those stories were the best stories ever on TV.    When I was a teenager, I remember watching 'The Next Generation' Star Trek series (The series that came after the originals).  I remember rooming with someone at this event I went to and he put the show on.  It wasn't my choice to watch the show.  But I remember being hooked on it.  I think they were running a marathon on the show and we both stayed up late watching episode after episode finding it hard to turn the TV off.   Flash f...

Lethal Weapon TV Series: My Review

I have to admit I cringed at the idea, when it was first announced, that they were turning the legendary 'Lethal Weapon' movies into a TV series.  I always loved Lethal Weapon and thought that some things (Like Lethal Weapon) should be left alone.  But, I was at the same time curious upon watching the previews before the first episode even aired and decided to give it a try.   First of all let me say, that after watching episode 1 of the first season, both my and my girlfriend were hooked.  The pilot episode has to be good enough to want to continue watching the show.  My girlfriend, whom I just introduced 'Lethal Weapon (The Movies)' for the first time in her life about a month before the airing of the 1rst episode was equally impressed.    I was most impressed by the synergy between Clayne Crawford (Whom I admit never heard of before) and Daman Wayans (Who played Roger Murtaugh). I think that this is the best role I've ever seen Wayans pl...
